Website delivery and hosting
This website is hosted by netcup GmbH, Daimlerstraße 25, 76185 Karlsruhe, Germany. When a page is requested, technically necessary connection data such as the IP address, time, requested resource and browser information is transmitted to the web server. Processing serves website delivery, stability and security on the basis of our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. We have concluded a data processing agreement with netcup under Article 28 GDPR.
Server log files
Each time a page is requested, the web server logs access data such as the IP address, date and time, requested address, status code, amount of data transferred, referring website and browser identifier. The logs are used solely to keep the website secure and stable and to detect faults and attacks. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The data is not combined with other data sources. Log files are deleted as soon as they are no longer required for these purposes.
No cookies and no analytics
The website uses no cookies, analytics or tracking services, or third-party embeds. It does not write its own data to local storage, session storage or IndexedDB and does not register service workers. The language is selected solely through the URL. Fonts, images, stylesheets and scripts are loaded from our own server and may be cached by your browser so that pages load faster; they contain no personal data.
Contact form
If you send us an enquiry using the form, we process your details in order to handle the enquiry: name, company and email address, optionally phone number and country, as well as the information on your measurement task and your message. The form is sent to us by email; the website does not store the details in a database. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for contractual or pre-contractual enquiries, or otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR based on our interest in handling business enquiries.
To protect against automated submissions, the form checks a field that is invisible to people and the time between opening and submitting the form. No cookies are set and no third parties are involved for this purpose. Data is deleted when its purpose no longer applies, unless statutory retention obligations or other lawful grounds require continued storage.
Contact by email or phone
If you contact us by email or phone, we process your details and the content of your enquiry to respond to it. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for contractual or pre-contractual enquiries, or otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Data is deleted when its purpose no longer applies, unless statutory retention obligations or other lawful grounds require continued storage.
Applications
If you apply to us by email, for example to karriere@qsigma.de, we process your details and documents to carry out the application procedure. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. If no employment relationship results, we delete the documents no later than six months after the procedure has been completed, unless you have consented to longer storage.
Remote support with TeamViewer
We provide the TeamViewer QuickSupport program for download from our own server. Downloading it only involves the connection data described above. If you start a remote support session with us, connection, device and session data is processed via TeamViewer Germany GmbH, Bahnhofsplatz 2, 73033 Göppingen, Germany. TeamViewer acts on our behalf as a processor under Article 28 GDPR. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where remote support is part of a contract with you, or otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. A session is only established if you tell us the ID and password shown.
External links
Links to other websites, such as LinkedIn or OpenStreetMap, are only opened when you deliberately click them. This also applies to the “Share on LinkedIn” button: it is a simple link, and no data is transmitted to LinkedIn beforehand. Once opened, the respective provider’s privacy information applies. Email and phone links open the relevant application configured on your device.
Your rights
Subject to the statutory conditions, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. Any consent given may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future. You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, particularly in the place of your habitual residence, workplace or the alleged infringement.
Right to object
Where we process personal data under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will stop processing unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds overriding your interests, rights and freedoms, or need the data to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. You may object to processing for direct marketing at any time.
